(Syracuse, New York-October 6, 2016) The Judicial Screening Committee of the Central New York Women’s Bar Association (“CNYWBA”) has completed its evaluation of judicial candidates for New York State Supreme Court, Onondaga County Family Court, and Onondaga County Court, Fifth Judicial District races. The final rating of the judicial candidate was approved by a majority vote of the Board of Directors on October 6, 2016.
The CNYWBA’s Judicial Screening Committee, co-chaired by Martin Lynn, Esq. and Michelle Rudderow, Esq., is comprised of members of the CNYWBA with diverse experience and practice areas. The Committee conducted interviews and did extensive reviews of the qualifications of candidates who chose to participate in the screening process. The rating process considers each candidate’s judicial temperament, legal ability and experience, analytical skills, impartiality and freedom from bias and prejudice, industriousness, diligence and promptness, and general reputation, character, fitness, and attitude towards women’s issues.
