CNYWBA's 2018 Rising Star— Jillian McGuire

Congratulations to Jillian McGuire, CNYWBA’s recipient of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York’s 2018 Rising Star Award!

Jillian is a matrimonial and family law attorney with Mackenzie Hughes LLP in Syracuse, New York, focusing on divorce, custody, child support, and other related family matters.  She has served on the CNYWBA Board of Directors since 2014, previously in the role of treasurer and currently as secretary.  Jillian is actively involved in the CNYWBA chapter, co-chairing the Judicial Reception and participating on the Judicial Screening Committee and Long Range Planning Committee. 

This year, Jillian was awarded the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York’s Hanna S. Cohn Pro Bono Award in appreciation and recognition of her untiring volunteer service to low-income women and families.

Jillian McGuire is the very definition of a rising star – a leader whose spirit and service will drive CNYWBA and WBASNY into the future, who has eagerly taken on increasing leadership roles within the organization, and who has significantly contributed to its success.  The Central New York Women’s Bar Association is proud to honor Jillian McGuire as its 2018 Rising Star.
